2016 Middle School Boys Basketball Tournament. 7 grade round 1 games are at Norton Middle School. All 8th grade games and 7th grade semi-final and final games will be at Norton High School. 7th grade quarterfinal games are at Norton Middle School!!! I will need final overall and league records by Monday night Feb 1st . Seeding based on final LEAGUE record. Tiebreaker formula will be as follows: 1. head to head if split then; 2. Best overall record if still tied then 3. Coin toss! 4. Admission is $3.00 and $2.00 per league policy.
Tournament fees are: $100.00 for both 7th and 8th grade teams. Make check payable to Norton Athletics and mail to : ATTN Brian Miller Athletic Director: 4128 Cleveland Massillon Rd Norton Ohio 44203.
Norton will supply warm-up basketballs. We plan on having concession stand opened but I encourage all athletes to bring water just in case. Have your coach call me at 330-475-6827 or email me at [email protected] to send in final record after Monday Feb. 1st games. I Would like rosters asap from each school for both grades to do a program for the fans. Include name and number of each player and coaches names. Each team will have 10 min warm-up. Game times subject to changed based on OT or length or previous game . All teams will get a 10 min warm-up in quarterfinals and 15 minutes for semi and final games. Cheerleaders are permitted to attend the tournament. No more than 8 per sideline. Park your bus in the driveway in front of the school. Fans may also park in the playground at the Middle School but not in front of the school. Admission is $3 and $2. Locker rooms will accommodate 2 teams at a time so please bring a lock for valuables. Norton is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
