Consideration of Nutrition Service Equipment – Lita Biggs (Action/Goal 2 – Resource Management)

Commentary: The School Nutrition Foundation awarded the district with a $49,450.00 Partners in the Classroom grant to facilitate the implementation of Breakfast in the Classroom. The grant specifically designated funding for equipment needed to properly house and distribute according to the program guidelines. The district sent request for bids to five vendors that handle the equipment needs and three returned bids. The bid was for 4 solid door upright refrigerators and 4 top open milk coolers. The district recommends the bid offered by Fellers Food Service Equipment, Springfield MO, for $18,859.08 as they were the low bid and can provide a 5 five day delivery once the order has been placed. Recommended Motion: I move approval to accept the bid from Fellers Food Service Equipment for the refrigerator and cooler needs of Breakfast in the Classroom Grant. 2
