Consideration of Consolidated Furniture and Equipment Purchase 20152016 – Lita Biggs (Action/Goal 2 – Resource Management)

Commentary: Each year building leaders and staff evaluate and provide a Capital Outlay request for furniture and equipment at each facility. Once the building leaders assign priority to their lists they are evaluated and assigned to a project list of building needs. The proposed specifications for Furniture and Equipment 2015-2016 were requested of SSI Furnishings. This company is Greenbush’s pre-bid Regional and National Cooperative Purchasing Company. In order to receive additional discounts for shipping and installation the district opted to order all building equipment on one order. Consideration of 2015-2016 Instructional/Office Supplies – Lita Biggs (Action/Goal 2 – Resource Management)

Commentary: The following reflects a brief history of instructional and office supply purchases for the district and a proposal for purchase for 2015-2016. For the past several years the Greenbush pre-bid consortium has proved to be more economical for purchasing many quality supplies the district utilizes. A random sampling of quotes for various items is sent out on alternating years to verify that the pricing and quality are added value to the district. In addition to this it saves a considerable amount of preparation and time for all staff involved and pricing is good through December of the following school year if we should find ourselves to have ordered less than is needed.

Recommended Motion: I move approval to accept the proposal as presented for instructional/office supplies for $70,390. Motion: _______________
