COACH’S MESSAGE

Since the appointment of Executive Director, Athletics & Recreation, Leslie Dal Cin, our program has been supported like no other, helping us move toward our mission of becoming the best basketball program in Canada. The addition of full-time assistant coach, James Bambury (former CIS head coach at RMC), helped propel us to be ranked in the Top 10 in Canada (with a 7th place showing in the National Championships) in 2014, and beginning the 2015-16 season in the 8th spot. Our team was recognized last season with 3 OUA East All-Stars, 1 OUA East AllRookie team member, and 1 National Award winner….all this with the youngest team at the 2014 Nationals. As full-time coaches, we are dedicated to the development of our players -- academically, athletically, and socially. Our team plays a large role in each other’s successes as well, not just on the basketball court, but also in the classroom. Our combined efforts have produced the 100% graduation rate over my entire coaching career.

BRITTANY MOORE, GUARD (BPHE, B.ED., 2007-12) NOTABLE PLAYER ACCOMPLISHMENTS: • Brittany Moore, graduated as the 2nd all-time leading scorer in OUA history and 1st all-time leading scorer in Queen’s history (women or men), while garnering Academic All-Canadian recognition. • 5 Time OUA East Conference All-Star. • 2007 OUA East Rookie of the Year. WHAT SHE DOES NOW: • Brittany has led the German league in scoring with two different professional teams in each of the past two seasons. “I truly enjoyed my career at Queen’s as each year I was pushed by the coaching staff, improving my game and giving me the confidence and opportunity to succeed at the OUA, CIS and now at the European Professional level. Playing varsity basketball at Queen’s is an experience that cannot be matched by any other.”
