Camp Staff Ashleigh Fitzgerald is the new head volleyball coach for the Cowgirls. For the past five years, Fitzgerald was the head coach at Drury University, a Division II school in Springfield, Mo. Prior to that, she was an assistant coach at McNeese from 2006-2009 under then-head coach, Dale Starr. Fitzgerald played collegiately at the University of Mississippi where she was a star setter for the Rebels. Eric Majors is the top assistant at McNeese. Majors comes to Lake Charles after a brief stint coaching at Texas Tornados Volleyball Club in Houston. Prior to working in Houston, Eric was an assistant coach in the Kansas City area at both the NAIA and Division II levels and was a head coach at Longview Community College. Eric played collegiately at Graceland University in Iowa. Lauren Dorris is the Cowgirl graduate assistant coach. Lauren comes to McNeese from Springfield, Mo. A top defensive player for Fitzgerald’s Drury team, Dorris graduated in 2013 and spent the 2013-2014 school year teaching and coaching volleyball at Nixa High School in Nixa, Mo.

Campers will not be allowed to play and participate unless insurance information is listed below and form is signed by a parent or guardian of the camper.I/We, the undersigned, hereby acknowledge and understand that the Ashleigh Fitzgerald Volleyball Camp is a privately run sports camp, and it is not operated by or through McNeese State University. The camp is neither sponsored, controlled, nor supervised by McNeese State University, but rather is under the sole sponsorship, control, and supervision of the camp director, Ashleigh Fitzgerald. I/We, the undersigned, for ourselves and our heirs, executors and administrators, waives, release, and forever discharge McNeese State University and the Ashleigh Fitzgerald Volleyball Camp and its staff, officers, agents, employees, representatives, successors, and assign any and all liability claims, demands, actions, and causes of action whatsoever arising out of related to any loss, personal injury, or property damage that may be sustained or occur during participation in camp activities or while at camp.I hereby authorize the staff of the Ashleigh Fitzgerald Volleyball Camp to act for me according to their best judgment in any emergency requiring medical attention. I have no knowledge of any physical impairment that would be affected by the above named camper's participation in the camp. I also understand that camp retains the right to use for publicity and advertising purposes photographs of campers taken at camp. This camp admits all qualified applicants without regard to disability, race, color, religion, national or ethnic origin.
