The Veritas design explores the relationship between public and private space. The idea uses a linear water element to meld and activate the two distinct spaces–a private courtyard and a public commons near a newly constructed light rail line. A system of walks provides convenient access to transit. The buildings are centrally organized around a green courtyard, which contains a shallow (4”) pool, a large lawn area, sports courts, an outdoor dining area, secluded gardens, and a gracious front yard that meets the main street. In 2004, Veritas was bought by Symantec and the campus remains part of the combined company.
