Why are we fasting? The Promise Church Fasting and Prayer: July 10-14 Join us for Corporate Prayer: • Monday(10th) through Friday(14th) week long mornings 5:00-6:00 • Sunday, July 16th 9:30-10:15 before service • Weekly on Tuesday and Friday morning 5:00-6:00 Fasting for: • • • • •

Deeper revelation of God’s Word Families – yours, other families in the church, and future families that will come into the church Decreasing ourselves and increasing in the Holy Spirit (John 3:30) The church – The Promise Church and connection with Greater Church To allow a greater anointing over our lives

Fast from: Below are some examples, but please do not limit yourself to the list. Fast from those things that the Lord leads you to. • • • • •

Criticism - self and to others Foods – Example: eat fruits and veggies only, Breakfast and lunch, or even no food or liquids Electronics - Games, tv, or anything else Negativity – To self and to others Selfishness, and anything that is keeping your attention too long

Pray schedule: (Be sensitive and led by the Holy Spirit with anything He brings to your remembrance or any other path He leads you do to pray for. We are just giving some idea. Monday: Ourselves – for purity, greater understand of the word, anything that may keep you from walking in full anointing, forgiveness – anything the Holy Spirit brings to you. Families – your immediate (wife, husband, and/or kids), extended family. Tuesday: Church – promise church (pastor, leaders, members), church around the city and world, people that need to come in and anything that is being. Wednesday: The wanderers and the lost. The prodigals. The individuals in jails to have an encounter with Jesus, people who are of different religions to come to Jesus. Thursday: Government, missionaries, and Israel. Friday: Outpouring of the Holy Spirit for boldness and courage for people who call themselves Christians to share the Gospel. The Boundaries of the church to grow, and for the Word of God to come to pass. (Psalm 139:23-24) Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my thoughts. Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life.
