Cast & Crew of The Miracle Worker meet in Mr. Pruitt’s room -Congratulations to MiKayla King, Rosamaria McMahon and Corrina Hochstetler on their performances this past Saturday at ISSMA State Instrumental Solo and Ensemble contest. All three represented Westview very well with MiKayla and Rosa earning silver medals, and Corrina earning two gold medals, including one “gold with distinction”. Great job! -There will be High School Grade Recovery tonight in room 305 from 3:40pm - 5:00pm. -There will be the Marching Band Banquet in the cafeteria at 6:30pm today. -1st Semester Economics Students - Please check your email from Mrs. Jansen. -HS STUDENTS: How does $150 sound? It’s the easiest money you will ever be offered. Any team member who participates in Launch LaGrange receives $150 - JUST FOR PARTICIPATING. You will be up against a maximum of 5 other teams, meaning you have a 1 in 6 chance to win $5,000 and up to $48,000 in scholarships in addition to the $150 per team member. Time is running out though. If you have a willingness to put some thought into solving real-world problems, see Mr. Bender or Mrs. Manns today. -Attention Seniors-the senior survey has been emailed to you from Mrs. Cowley. Make sure to read the note attached to the survey. Due date is March 20th. You will receive only one survey so make sure to complete it before submitting. Results will be revealed at the senior breakfast.
-SENIORS: Thanks to all of you who turned in your pictures on Google Classroom. All other Seniors, you now have 6 days to upload your baby picture and your senior picture to be used in the video at graduation. Follow all instructions on Google Classroom. If you have trouble, see Mrs. May, Mrs. Cowley, Mrs. Hales, or Mrs. Manns.-Eighth grade art club please remember to turn in your permission slips. -Congratulations to the cast and crew of The Miracle Worker. Two great performances! If you missed being in this play for some reason, come to auditions for our Spring play, 30 Reasons Not To Be in a Play. Auditions are March 5th after school in the auditorium. Performances are April 26th, 27th, & 28th. -Lost and Found is located outside the front office, in the stairway. Please check if you are missing anything. It is filling up again with lost items. -HIGH SCHOOL: Check out the Student Services bulletin board. We have new information from IUPUI (they are hosting an Informatics and Computing Open House on March 1). There is also material from Glen Oaks Community College. Finally, there is a great college / career fair at Carroll High School Fort Wayne on March 5. See Yordy if you have any questions! -JUNIORS: Do you get electricity from LaGrange County REMC? If so, you could be eligible for an all-expenses paid trip to Washington DC this summer (June 13-20). More information on the Student Services bulletin board. -JUNIOR GIRLS: Purdue is hosting a Women in Engineering program on April 8 at the West Lafayette campus. They include the Rotary Scholarship ($750, March 27); the Phillip S Preston Memorial (senior basketball player or manager, $1250, April 1); Kappa Kappa Kappa ($1000, April 12); LaGrange County Retired Teachers ($500, April 14); LaGrange County Farm Bureau ($300, April 30); American Public Works ($1000, May 8). Forms are in the athletic office. -Sectional Concessions: Tuesday 2/26 is BASEBALL,Friday 3/1 is SOFTBALL, Saturday 3/2 is GOLF. Check with your coach for your assigned shift. -BBB Sectional ticket packet will go on sale today. Come to the athletic office to purchase. Packet is $10.00 for all games. Tickets at the door will be $6.00 per session. -March 4th - HS & JH golf call out in old gym.
