2018-19 Players of the Week Chastadie Barrs - Lamar - Sr. - G - DeSoto, Texas Barrs helped the Cardinals to a 2-0 record on the week with a 94-70 win over Northwestern State Wednesday and an 81-76 victory at home over Sam Houston State Saturday. The DeSoto, Texas native recorded her 600th steal on Saturday to become only the second player in NCAA Division I history to record 600 or more steals in a career. The senior guard averaged 18.5 points, 8.0 steals, 7.0 assists and 6.5 rebounds throughout the week. At Northwestern State, Barrs tabbed her fifth doubledigit steals performance (10) moving her into second-place on the NCAA all-time career steals list with 600. In Lamar’s win over Sam Houston State, Barrs also recorded her 647th career assist, breaking a 26-year old program record set by Ramona Jones. The senior has racked up nine double-double performances this season and leads the nation with 6.04 steals per game.
