Information about being a U14G Competitive Soccer player with WSC Players in this age group may be participating in other activities but it is necessary to cut back on the activities to meet the demands of playing at the older age groups. Missing soccer at this age level should be an occasional occurrence rather then a regular occurrence. U14 teams compete at the level the clubbed earned the p revious year. At U14 teams compete for playing status at U15 with opportunity to earn Premier status. All teams at U14 will have a paid coach and team fees in addition to the club player fee. Team fees cover coach’s fees, additional off-‐ season training time, and other items not covered by the WSC player fee. Players at U14 will be put into positions and expected to be comfortable on the ball, be able to pass with a variety of passes, and become increasingly tactically aware.
Players can play fall only, summer only, or both seasons but are expected to be committed to attending when they are participating. C1 information is on the other side of this sheet. C2 and C3 anticipated schedule: Season

Competitive Levels Minnesota Youth Soccer Association (MYSA) has four competitive levels for the U14 age group. The four levels are Premier, C1, C2, and C3. We do not have a premier team in this age group. The differences between the three we do offer are substantial commitment and demands C1 team will have a substantial schedule and demands, C2 level will also be rigorous with adjustments according to
the make-‐up of the team as determined by the staff, C3 will be serious in season but do few off-‐season activities. Players who are placed on the C3 team and are serious about their soccer will be provided opportunities to train with the C2 team. Teams play 11v11.

Coaching Krystle Seidel will be the coach for the U14G C1 team. Krystle is the Assistant W’s Coach at the University of M N. She earned her C License this past year and is a great young coach. Krystle played at a high level including time at D1 programs West Virginia and Minnesota as well as playing for the MN Lightening. Krystle’s insight and experience at a high level in the W’s game makes her a serious asset to this team.
Competitive sports are about commitment. It is cool to be in the right uniform and have certain status but unless you are committed are you doing the most you can for yourself and your teammates.
Anticipated Budget for Team Budget is based upon 18 players. Budget includes the required warm-‐up but does not include WSC Registration (player fee), new uniform (Summer 2012), or player travel.
Roster Size The roster for C1 will be 18 players. This number of players will insure that we are able to have enough players at every training session and in the eventuality of injuries we are able to sustain a high level of performance.
