INSTRUCTIONS ABBREVIATIONS S2kp2: Slip 2 sts together as if to k2tog, k1, pass 2 slipped sts over. (1 stitch decreased) NOTE Vest is worked in one piece from lower Front edge to lower Back edge, with stitches picked up for Sleeves. RIGHT FRONT CO 50 (54, 60, 66) sts. Knit 4 rows. Shape Right Front (RS): Change to St st. Dec 1 st at beg of every RS row 39 (40, 43, 46) times—11 (14, 17, 20) sts rem. Work even until piece measures 11 1/2 (12 1/2, 13 1/2, 14 1/2)" from the beg, ending with a WS row. Place sts on st holder. LEFT FRONT CO 50 (54, 60, 66) sts. Knit 4 rows. Shape Left Front (RS): Change to St st. Dec 1 st at end of every RS row 39 (40, 43, 46) times—11 (14, 17, 20) sts rem. Work even until piece measures 11 1/2 (12 1/2, 13 1/2, 14 1/2)" from the beg, ending with a WS row. Leave sts on needle. BACK Next Row (RS): Knit across Left Front sts, CO 32 sts for Back neck, knit across Right Front sts from st holder— 54 (60, 66, 72) sts. Work even until piece measures 9 (10, 11, 12)" from Back neck CO. Knit 4 rows. BO all sts. SLEEVES Place markers 5 1/2 (6, 6 1/2, 7)" up from CO and BO edges along both armhole edges for Sleeves. Pick up and knit 50 (54, 60, 66) sts between markers. Knit 12 rows. BO all sts. FINISHING Block piece to measurements. Sew side and Sleeve seams.. Neckband With RS facing, beg at lower Right Front edge, pick up and knit approx 70 (80, 85, 92) sts along Right Front edge, 33 sts along Back neck, placing removable marker on first and last of these 33 sts, then approx 70 (80, 85, 92) sts along Left Front edge. Knit 1 row. Inc Row: K1-f/b, [knit to 1 st before marked st, s2kp2] twice, knit to last st, k1-f/b. Work even for 1 row. Repeat Inc Row every other row 5 times. BO all sts knitwise. I-Cord Trim and Ties Using Embellish-Knit, make I-Cord at least 90 (100, 110, 120)" long, relaxed. Beg at lower Right Front edge, leave 12" of cord unattached for Right Tie. Beg sewing I-Cord to BO edge of Neckband, making a 2" loop every 1 1/2". Wrap yarn around base of each loop to close it, and sew it to Neckband as you go. Leave approx 23 (24, 25, 26)" unattached at lower Left Front edge, to wrap around waist. To wear, wrap Right Front over Left Front, wrapping Left Tie around Back waist to left side edge; tie in bow at left hip.
