This Indenture made the XXIst day of May in the year of our Lord Christ, one thousand and seven hundred & fifty one Between Thomas Whitlock of Goochland County of the one part and David Murry of the same County of the other part Witnesseth that the said Thomas Whitlock for and in consideration of the sum of Sixty pounds to him in hand paid the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge & thereof doth discharge the said David Murry & his Heirs Executors & Admin~S and every of them by these presents doth grant bargain & sell unto the said David Murry his Heirs & Assigns forever, one certain Tract or parcel of Land lying & being in the aforesaid County among the Branches of the Beverdam Creek containing by estimation three hundred Acres being the Land The said Thomas Whitlock purchased of Rob~ Christian dec9 late of Albemarle County as by a Deed bearing date the Seventeenth Day of June, in the year one thousand seven hundred and forty seven & recorded in the aforesaid County of Goochland will more at large appear, together with the Reversion & Reversions Remainder & Remainders and all & every appurtenances to the aforesaid Land in anywise appertaining thereto To Have & To Hold the aforesaid Tract or parcel of Land & all other the Premises unto the said David Murry his Heirs & assigns, to the only use & behoof of him the said David Murry the Heirs & assigns Forever, and the said Thorn. Whitlock for himself his Heirs Exc.rs & Adm.rs doth covenant & grant, to and with the said David Murry his Heirs Exc.rS Adm.rs & Assigns to make further and other assurance of the afores~ Land & premises as con' 1 (counsel X lerned in the Law shall devise or require & that he will warrant & defend the afores9 Land with all and every the appurtenances thereunto belonging unto the said David Murry his Heirs & assigns forever agt all persons whatsoever In Witness whereof & of the premises the said Thomas Whitlock hath hereunto set his hand & affixed his Seal the day and yeare first above written. At a Court held for Goochland County May 21, 1751 Thomas Whitlock acknowledged this Deed with the Livery of Seizen and receipt Endorsed, to be his Acts & Deeds, which were ordered to be Recorded. Then Mary his wife she being first privately examined relinquished her right of Dower in the Land of this Deed conveyd which was also admitted to Record. Test .. Hon. Wood
