DB6, pg. 148-149 This Indenture made this twenty first day of May in the year of our Lord, one thousand seven hundred and fifty one Between Robert Williamson of the Parish of St. James in the county of Goochland of the one part and Grisell Whitlock of King William County of the other part Witnesseth that the said Robt Williamson him thereunto for divers good causes & considerations moving but more especially for the valuable consideration of Eighty pounds Curro MOney to him in hand paid by the said Grisell Whitlock the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge and himselfe therewith fully satisfied contented & paid, hath fully clearly & absolutely acquited Exonerated & discharged the said Grisell Whitlock & by these presents hath bargain'd sold alien,d Enseoffed & confirmed & by these Presents doth bargain, sell, Alien, Enseoff & confirm unto the said Grisell Whitlock to her & her heirs forever, one certain Tract or Parcel of Land containing two hundred & fifty Acres it being part of a greater Tract of six hundred acres it being Land patent@ in the name of Rich.Ogesby bearing date the twenty eight Day of Septem. one thousand seven hundred & thirty in the fourth year If our Reign & lying in the County of Goochland on the branches of Beaverdam Creek and bounded as followeth to wit, Begin-ning at a corner white Oak in the Mouth of a sITlallBranch thence running up the said Branch two hundred & eighty poles to James Christian's corner on Chims line thence along the sO Chimses line North sixty three degrees, East one hundred & thirty two Poles to a corner pine of John Goodes formerly Francis Amoses, thence South twenty one Degrees East one hundred & ninety five poles to a corner red Oak thence South seventy Degrees West forty two Poles to a corner red Oak, thence North eighty Degrees west forty seven Poles to a corner red Oak thence seaventy one degrees West twenty eight Poles to a corner white Oak thence South fifty four degrees West ninety three poles to a corn~ red Oak thence South eighty three Degrees, West nine poles to a corner red Oak thence North ten degrees East thirty two poles to the beginning containing ~ within the said Bounds two hundred & fifty acres be the same more or less To Have & To Hold the said Lande & premises unto the said Grisell Whitlock & to her doth hereby covenant Heirs forever & the said Robert ~on for himself and pic Heirs that he will warrant the said land unto the s.d Grisell Whitlock ag.t not only the claime of himselfe his Heirs, etc., but ag.t all Persons Whatsoever unto the said Grisell Whitlock, and to her heirs & assigns forever In Witness whereof the said Robt Wmson hath hereunto sett his hand and Seal the Day

Robert Williamson acknowledged this deed with the Livery of Seizen Endorsed to be his Acts & Deeds, which were ordered to be Recorded; Then F~ances his Wife she being first privately examined relinq9 her ri~ht of Dower in the Land by this Deed convey'd, which was also admitted to record.
