Best Seller Coaching: Module 2 – Lesson 6 – Formatting Your Book
Formatting your books can be difficult if you don’t have some familiarity with the process and tools involved. To alleviate this issue let’s review those now. Quick Note: When uploading finished books to Createspace (Amazon’s Physical Book Publisher) you will be offered to have that same book uploaded to Kindle (Amazon’s digital book publisher) …don’t do it. The formatting will look awful so it’s best to format the two books on your own and upload them to Amazon on your own. Kindle prefers the “ePub” file format. Dealing with technical errors in your published books are important to prevent unnecessary “bad reviews” and if you do get a bad review on obvious technical errors it’s vital to deal with those errors right away.
You want to always be sure you’re producing top quality books So you can get top notch reviews because poor reviews Hurt sales figures in the end Your two main options are to: Use software designed for ebook formatting Hire somebody to do the formatting for you (they’ll probably use the same software you would be using if you did it yourself)

Kindle Formatting Options: Hire someone on Fiverr Use AuthorGear Use Vellum if you’re on a Mac Use MS Word When using Fiverr to get your book formatted keep in mind you may not be able to edit the file they give you as it’s usually going to be given back to you in the ePub format.
Above is an example of what you’ll find on Fiverr.com If you search for “gigs” to have your eBooks formatted for you Createspace has more specific technical details to deal with. Details like: page-count thickness of the book (which will be dictated by page count) word count font size images All this factors into the over-all layout of your physical books and how the final product will look once it’s published through Createspace; keep all this in mind. It sounds like a lot to deal with but the process isn’t so hard once you’re used to it. It may be best to just hire someone on Fiverr to do your physical book formatting if you discover doing it yourself is tedious. www.servenomaster.com
