Scar and Broomhilda took their chance on having me scribe for them. There is the constant fear that I will be in full retribution mode, but as usual I'll rise above the fray. A small crowd leads to not as much fodder for the cannon but still gives a lively encounter. After a few last minute direction changes, everyone seemed to arrive in fine fettle. Being close to St. Paddy's Day more than enough green was present to offset any that either forgot or didn't care for the Wearing of the Green. A few remarks, then the hares were off exactly on time (10 Am on Sundays, 6:30 PM on Thursdays). The Long Beach way for 24+ years. We hit the streets for a meandering, well-marked trail through some first time territory for LBH3 and probably any other hash. The first check took us left and on to suburbia. With a smaller group, checks are more problematical and this run was no exception. We did manage to break them all, then we were met by Toni the Beer Check Bitch at a secondary school. Brien O’Connor’s Pub, Lakewood Old McDonald Douglas property, construction site, country club & railroad tracks – FREE RUN DAY FOR ALL THE HASHERS!!
Hash runs should be 45 minutes to one hour. It is not a work-out or a training run. This one clocked in right on 45 minutes on trail. It was well-marked, and although shiggy-free, still a good hash run for those who wanted one. We had to make-do without a keg since it was Betty Ford weekend, but bottles and cans did fine. Down-downs went smoothly as both GMs returned to handle the chores. Nothing remarkable to report. The on-on at Brien O'Connors had a good turnout and had hot food and cold beer, not always a staple at on-ons in the past. It was an honest effort to find a place that wanted to have us. Selection Sunday was close at hand so my stay was shortened somewhat. All in all a good run, good down-downs and a good on-on. Fruit of the Loom

It was an unseasonably hot day (95 degrees) as hashers gathered in San Pedro at 25th and Western. Maybe it was so hot because SATAN had just given birth to a beautiful daughter. BEN DOVER was grinning from ear to ear as he announced the news. (Happy birthday ROSIE CHEEKS!) The hares took off up a bush covered hillside behind the Bank of America, and 15 minutes later injured scribe O.F.F left with the walkers who were “too stupid to start early with the smarter walkers.” Nevertheless, they did manage to pass OPEN FLY, CORN HOLE HUSSIE, MOAN N F*CKER, SKY QUEEN and 8 YELLOW SNOW. The pack soon reached a beer check manned by CRACK and MASSAGE A TWAT, where O.F.F was happy to see PBR in the cooler. After the beer check, trail led downhill to 25th Street where there was evidence of a hare snare by CHEWY, PIG IRON and POOR AIM. After a second beer check manned by COCKRIDER, we traversed the bluffs and ended up on-in behind Vons’ loading dock. Down-downs featured the naming of TATTOO LOVE BOY and the awarding of the hashit to Trailmaster NICE HAIR FAG for having his cell phone interrupt his chalk talk. Down-downs ended abruptly when a couple of Vons’ employees told us to move along, so we adjourned to the on-on at Taxco for some delicious Mexican food.

#13278 Sunday, March 29th, 10 am Hares: Nice Hair Fag, Cum Nail Me and Stumbelina Location: Coastal Peak Park - Newport Beach TG 920 E-1 Cost: $5 Directions: From Long Beach - Leave early and take a scenic drive on Pacific Coast Highway South. Turn Left on Newport Coast Drive. Turn Right on Ridge Park Drive. Go all the way to the top of the hill. Turn Right on Coastal Peak and the run start will be between the two softball fields. From Orange County - From the 405 go South on Culver. Go all the way past U.C. Irvine. Culver becomes Bonita Canyon Dr., and turn left on Newport Coast Dr. Turn left on Ridge Park Dr. and go to the top of the hill. Turn right at Coastal Park and the run start will be between the two softball fields. This is the final Sunday run before going to Thursday night runs for the summer. It was requested we go out of the box. This run will have the least amount of street running as possible. I was advised the prior run name sounded gay. This is much simpler.
