How is this story in contrast to what had just happened in Mark 9:2-13?

Looking Up – Talking with God about myself and my Life Group Pray for God to give you the faith you need to trust Him in the challenges you face in your life.
The disciples failed to cast out the demon because they depended on themselves. (Mark 9:14-19)
Jesus cast out the demon because the father depended on Him. (Mark 9:20-29)
We must humbly seek God’s power by faith in Him expressed in prayerful dependence.
