REHASH: THIS DATE IN HASH HISTORY Run # 244 Date: 8/17/1989 (21 years ago) Place: Long Beach Hares: SOSUMI and DRIP DRY Miles: ? Attendance: ? rd SOSUMI’s 3 Annual Limo Run began in front of Naples School in beautiful, scenic Belmont Shore. Unfortunately, we don’t have Limo Runs anymore, but they sure were fun for the 14 or so years that they lasted! Since the run began at an elementary school, scribe BROOMHILDA did the entire write-up, “Fun With Dick and Jane and the Big Car” on the easy-tord read 3 grade level. “Oh look! See Dick (SOSUMI) and Jane (DRIP DRY) ride in the big white car. Can you say limousine?” The pack followed the hares through the canals and down Second Street. Eventually we reached Belmont Plaza Pool. Several hashers, including EJECT and LOOSE JOINT jaywalked in front of a police car, but were not cited because juveniles apprehended for another heinous crime already occupied the police officers’ attention – and the police car! Eventually we arrived at CHURCHILL’s house where the limo was parked. A young lady with a good tan, big tits and wearing a g-string served beer and champagne. Some hashers, like RIFF RAFF stayed and drooled, but most of us continued onward. After running through the Carroll Park district where an unhelpful resident was hosing flour and chalk marks off the sidewalk and street, a packlet that included the scribe, UNDERCOVER, ONE LEFT ONE, and DARKTANYON became lost temporarily. Then they spotted WALKING SMALL running towards them, which didn’t help! Eventually they were underway again and came to the on-in down on the beach. Here GMs ASYNC and MOTHER JUGS conducted down-downs that included SCOOTER receiving the hashit for “carrying SMALL’s diaper bag on trail.” SCOOTER did not take this dubious honor very well. “Can you spell PMS?” The on-on was at Barwinkle’s. HASH HISTORY FROM AUGUST 1990 (20 YEARS AGO) Run # 298 on 8/9 – HOZER ran his first Long Beach Hash as a visitor from LAH3.

From Long Beach - Take 405 South to Bolsa Chica. Go south for about 2 miles, and turn left on McFadden. Make another left at 5555 McFadden, into the parking lot for "The Rink" at Huntington Beach. This is an In-Line Skating rink. They are open today, so park at the back of the lot, away from the entrance. They are fine with us being there, just don't be a pain and park in front of their entrance. Overflow parking is available at the back of the lot as well. With all these Thursday night hashes so far away from Long Beach, guess I need to hare a run to bring the hash closer to me again.
