Book Review by Claire B. “Fablehaven” by: Brandon Mull This was a really good book. I really enjoyed it even though there wasn't really any action until the end. I look forward to reading the next book in the series. Hidden Villa The good news: We have enough chaperones! Thank you to everyone who is willing and able go with us. The bad news: We have been given one more waiver from them to fill out and return. Please fill it out and return it as soon as possible, or by Friday, September 23 whichever comes first. A copy of the waiver is posted online.

Science Olympiad Are you interested in Science? It is time to start forming the 2017 Science Olympiad team. The team is for Middle School students, but we have had students from 5th and 6th on the team every year. Team members will start selecting events and practicing this fall for the Competition on Saturday, March 4. There will be an informational meeting in the Redbud classroom on Monday, September 26th at 3:30. Science Olympiad info is online: https://www.soinc.org/ Feel free to contact Mr. Thomas if you would like more information: [email protected]. Middle School Appendices Please check your student’s Red Hawks Folder for Middle School Handbook appendices. These are now past due. An entire copy of the handbook is posted online. Thank you for returning these as soon as possible.
