Jesus Time- We are learning about the story of Creation and the importance of caring for God’s beautiful world. After this we will learn about the first sin.
Donuts with Dad– Your child will bring home an invitation soon for this special evening on September 20 at 6:30 p.m. If Dad is unavailable, another male relative or friend is invited to attend. *Note date change*
Happily Ever After– Our story for our first unit in our reading curriculum is Little Red Riding Hood. At the end of each unit, you will receive a packet that includes an informational letter and the work your child has completed.
Picture Day– Tuesday, September 12. Please bring your order sheet on picture day or order online before that date. If you order online, please bring the order printout. Forms will be sent home soon.
Our nursery rhyme for the month of September is “Pat-a-Cake”. Your child brought home a library book this week. Please remember to return it on Tuesday and your child will be able to check out a new book.
Homework– Your child brought home the first letter homework and “On Track to Kindergarten” paper yesterday. Each week one student will be given a letter bag. Ella was given the first bag for the letter A. When it’s your turn, please have your child bring only one item in the bag that begins with our letter of the week.
Fall Fund Raiser Please consider supporting Elm Grove Lutheran by participating in the fall fund raiser. It is called Race for Education. The proceeds will be used to benefit students at every grade level. The race kick off letter went home yesterday and a race packet will be sent home soon. Race day is Friday, October 13.
Service Hours There are many ways to fulfill service hours at EGL: · Be a room parents and plan or assist at parties. · Be a parent helper in the classroom on Mondays from 8:309:00 a.m. (Sign up sheet will be in the hallway next week.) · Be a driver or chaperon for field trips.
