Our Goal: The Women’s Ministry of First Baptist Church Broken Arrow exists to bring the women in our church and community to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, provide opportunities to grow in their knowledge of God’s Word, develop a vibrant and meaningful prayer life, use our gifts and abilities to serve our Lord and bring Him glory, and to build a thriving network of sisters in Christ! Our Method: We provide weekly Bible studies and a mentoring program to encourage spiritual growth. Quarterly events strengthen the relationship between the women in our church and community. Regularly scheduled Girls Night Out events let us just have fun, fellowship, and create bonds with other women. We care about you! Please give us a chance to get to know you! Come join in the fun!

Broken Arrow Campus Wednesday Morning Precept: Acts, Part 1 (Kay Arthur)

9 weeks 1 9/16/15–11/18/15 1 9:30 a.m. 1 Cost $18 1 Women It seems this is “the hour”–the time to learn from the apostles what it means to be His witnesses, Christ-followers in the midst of a “Crooked and perverse generation.” If you are aware of what is transpiring in the nations, you can sense the increasing conflict between the darkness and light. And you know that the day of the Lord is drawing near. If ever there was a need to understand and do the will of God, it is now! May you discover for yourself, through the book of Acts, what it means to be His faithful witness and to experience the power to be what God wants you to be and do what He wants you to do in these last days!

Isaiah, Part 2 (Mary Helen Meyer)

9 weeks 1 9/16/15–11/18/15 1 9:30 a.m. 1 Cost $7 1 Co-Ed Isaiah is the most quoted prophetic book in the New Testament and contains many Messianic prophecies. This course will emphasize God’s redemptive plan as revealed to Isaiah. The suffering Servant and Messiah’s Millennial Reign. Part 2 covers Chapters 40-66 and can be taken without having taken Part 1.

Restless (Jennie Allen)

8 weeks 1 9/16/15–11/11/15 1 9:30 a.m. 1 Cost $12 1 Women Explore the important question: “Do I matter?” Is it possible to waste our lives? We don’t want to live life feeling empty, numb, or bored, so God stirs a restlessness in us that won’t go away. We were designed to dream. And like Joseph, we may discover that our dreams have greater purpose and meaning than we ever imagined. You will learn how Joseph’s suffering, gifts, story and relationships fit into the greater story of God–and how your story can do the same.

What Love Is: The Letters of 1, 2, 3 John (Kelly Minter)

7 weeks 1 9/16/15–11/4/15 1 9:30 a.m. 1 Cost $14 1 Women The letters of 1, 2, & 3 John were written to encourage followers of Jesus to remain faithful to the truth. Believers are challenged to look at contrasting themes such as walking in the light instead of darkness, truth versus lies and deception, loving God more than loving the world, and the meaning of true fellowship and community rather than shallowness. This study reveals not only the heart of John but also the heart of Jesus. John anchors us in truth in a culture that has lost its way.

Wednesday Evening The Life Of the Messiah: Part 2 (Arnold Fruchtenbaum)

13 weeks 1 8/19/15–11/18/15 1 9:30 a.m. 1 Cost $25 (for both semesters—no charge for those who bought the study for first semester). 1 Co-Ed This is an incredible opportunity to study the life of our Lord Jesus Christ using all four gospels accounts (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John). Christ’s life is presented by Dr. Arnold Fruchtenbaum, a Jewish believer, in chronological order in the context of First Century Judaism. You will find this study to greatly enrich your knowledge and understanding of Christ’s life, mission, miracles, death and resurrection. This is a two semester study and will take you deeper into what it means to really know and understand Jesus, the Messiah.”

Revelation, Part 2: A Study of End Time Events (Mary Helen Meyer)

10 weeks 1 9/9/15–11/18/15 1 6:30 p.m. 1 Cost $20 1 Co-ed This course covers the book of Revelation—Chapters 10–22. By integrating Old Testament prophecy and Jewish history with the New Testament, this study gives a more complete understanding of God’s program for the last days. Part 2 covers the mid-point of the Tribulation, the Second Coming of Messiah, the Messianic Kingdom and the Eternal State. Part 1 and Part 2 can be taken in any order.

Restless (Jennie Allen)

Understanding the Wounded Heart (Marcus Warner)

8 weeks 1 9/16/15–11/11/15 1 6:30 p.m. 1 Cost $25 (incl. 2 books) 1 Women This is a small group study that explores how listening prayer, forgiveness, learning to take thoughts captive, and growing joy can help us overcome the wounds, lies, and vows that often threaten to overwhelm us. This study is for every believer. It is impossible to go through life in this fallen world without experiencing wounds and attacks from the enemy. The books will help give you a simple model and some practical tools for your own journey as well as those you are looking to help...because people can’t grow, until they are free!

War Room (Stephen Kendrick and Alex Kendrick) 5 weeks 1 9/16/15-10/7/15 1 6:30 p.m. 1 Cost $10 1 Women When we come to know Jesus as our Savior and Lord, our journey is only beginning. It can be easy to become wrapped up in our hectic lives and forget our first love and the subtle Enemy who wants to keep us from Him. The War Room is a 5 week Bible study designed to develop strategies and resources to fight the spiritual battles laid before us. Let’s fight on our knees and worship God with our whole hearts. Prayer is powerful and necessary and is our greatest weapon! When we face impossible things, God will fight for us. Let’s return to prayer, passionately and actively pursuing Him.

What Love Is: The Letters of 1, 2, 3 John (Kelly Minter) 7 weeks 1 9/16/15–11/4/15 1 6:30 p.m. 1 Cost $14 1 Women Please see course description on the page 5.

Sunday Evening Answers for Your Kids (Stacia McKeever)

10 weeks 1 9/13/15–11/15/15 1 5:00 p.m. 1 Cost $15 1 Co-Ed This course will help you to teach your kids or grandkids the Bible and help them answer questions about their faith. We will learn how to understand that God is the Creator of everything and that His Word is authority. We will discuss creation, the results of sin, age of the earth, dating methods, dinosaurs and much more. This course will help you give your kids a strong Biblical foundation.

The Grace Course (Steve Goss & Rich Miller)

8 weeks 1 9/13/14–11/1/14 1 5:00 p.m. 1 Cost $18 1 Co-Ed If you don’t first know God’s love for you in your heart - not just your head - it’s impossible for your life to be motivated by love for Him. Instead you are likely to end up motivated more by guilt or shame or fear or pride. You may be doing all the “right” things, believing all the right things and saying all the right things but there will be precious little fruit and you won’t experience the true rest that Jesus promised. The Grace Course is a tool for churches to help Christians recover their first love for God so that they go on to love others and make a great impact on the world. Its objective is to enable Christians to experience God’s grace in such a deep and real way that love for Him becomes the main motivator in their lives.

Isaiah, Part 2 (Mary Helen Meyer)

9 weeks 1 9/13/15–11/8/15 1 5:00 p.m. 1 Cost $7 1 Co-Ed Please see course description on the page 5.
