FAMILY MATTERS
The vision for Central Baptist Church is simple: Carry out the Great Commission and handle all of the problems that were created because we carried out the great commission.
Sunday Morning at Central Baptist Church our Pastor is using the Word of God to strengthen our marriages and families. The intense focus during these fourteen weeks thoroughly examines most of the major components in the home.
Above Measure Victories
Our purpose statement: “God-Centered; Truth-Driven; People Focused” remains the same. Our intensity needs to be more aggressive. We are seeking to have programs in our ministry that produce the desired results and works within our purpose statements. We cannot do everything that we need to do, so we must plan and choose what we can do in 2012 and do it. Not just attempt to do it...do it! Here is a reminder of what we set out to do at the beginning of the year. Continued on page 2...

Already, comments like, “My priorities have been wrong,” “We have not worked on our relationship,” and “The Bible has a lot of answers if we will seek them out” have been made among those who have been faithfully attending. Each family should make it a priority to attend Bible Classes at 9:30am, Morning Services and Evening Services not only because it matters to God, but because your Family Matters. These messages are delivered each Sunday Morning through August 19. Messages and notes can be downloaded at www.centralbaptistpanamacity.org Continued on page 2...
FAMILY MATTERS….. The message topics that are included in this series are:
PASTOR POINTS….. As we claim Ephesians 3:20-21, our six Above Measure Goals are: RUN FOUR BUS ROUTES. We need route workers for Lynn Haven and Callaway; we need to split route 2. REORGANZIE SUNDAY SCHOOL. A greater emphasis on small groups, Bible teaching and social activities. (June 3!) REINFORCE MISSIONARIES. We want to increase the support of all of our missionaries by 10%. (July 1!) REDUCE DEBT. We want to become debt-free this year. (Sale of ten acres!) REMODEL FACILITIES. Our Master Plan includes new exterior elevations, repavement of the East parking lot, new parking lights, new paint, restrooms and a new roof for the auditorium, completing our five year plan. (restrooms and new auditorium roof installed in May!) RAISE MEMBERSHIP. We have already seen six new families join the church in 2012 that are faithfully working in the church. —Dr. Bruce Barton Pastor

Dr. Barton does not claim to be an expert on the family. He and Donna have been married 28 years and have three children. Bradley, engaged to Dakota Clark, (to be married December 29, 2012); Brady, age 17, a senior at Mosley High School; and Joanna, age 15, a sophomore at North Bay Haven Academy.
EVERY MEMBER IN BIBLE CLASSES In fundamentalism past, Dr. Tom Malone, Emmanuel Baptist Church in Pontiac, MI; Dr. Lee Roberson, Highland Park Baptist Church in Chattanooga, TN; Dr. Jack Hyles, First Baptist Church in Hammond, IN and scores of others took Sunday to develop small groups for nurturing, mentoring, and discipling. For more than 200 years Baptist Churches have used the tool of Sunday classes to organize their membership, train future workers, and mature followers of Christ. For too long the church has been satisfied with anemic, casual Christianity and our Pastor is placing the emphasis in this generation to re-build a thriving Sunday School. The Sunday School is the church
teaching. It is a dangerous thing to not teach, nor to be taught the Word of God. The Sunday School is part of the church. Therefore, we should support it. Every member at Central Baptist Church has been placed on a roster of a class. A room is dedicated for that meeting at 9:30am each Sunday Morning and a qualified, loving teacher is ready to equip. These classes are: Nursery 0-1 Toddlers 2-3 Kindergarten 4-5 Grade 1,2 Grade 3,4 Grade 5-6 Grades 7-12 Crusaders (18-35) Foundation (36-55) Heritage (55+) Athlea Ladies

2012 Vacation Bible School Babylon: Daniel’s Courage Five were saved!
David Wood Ministries Relocates to Florida! We are pleased to announce that Dr. David Wood and his wife, June, will make their move from Trenton, GA to Panama City, FL and Central Baptist Church on July 22, 2012. Wood, founder of “Operation: GO” will make his ministry offices in Building B. Two offices, a workroom, and an inventory room will aid him in his world-wide ministry endeavors. As we partner with David Wood Ministries (DWM), we hope to engage more members in soul-winning through training and inspiration. Our goal is to influence 1,000 other churches to do the same.
