Greetings from the Land of Empty RV Parks The population of Florida has really taken a hit recently. Now that the North has finally decided to say goodbye to winter, the number of people residing in our warm state have diminished greatly. Every year the Wycliffe RV park is filled with retired volunteers who come and serve at our Wycliffe USA campus. (They volunteer in many capacities, but some of the most noticeable are the facelifts and repairs they do to our buildings and grounds.) As of late, the RVs have been pulling out at a significant rate, to return home up north. Celebrating Scripture Translation Easter egg hunt at church

What, after all, is apollos? and What is paul? only servants, through Whom you came to believe—as the lord has assigned to each his task. so neither the one Who plants nor the one Who Waters is anything, but only god, Who makes things groW.

1 corinthians 3:5, 7

Twice a year Wycliffe USA celebrates the recently published scriptures. On April 19, we celebrated 27 newly completed translations! That is 27 more language groups that now have God’s Word in their hands; 27 more languages that can read the Word for themselves; 27 more languages who can finally hear the Word in a language that speaks to their heart! If this isn’t reason to rejoice and send the angels in heaven into celebration, we don’t know what is! Praise God for the years of hard work these translators have poured into reaching the Bibleless for Jesus.

Nate, at the Scripture Celebration, holding a completed Bible for a language group in the Solomon Islands. The translators for this group recently went through a Connection program.

Equip One of Nate’s favorite moments in his new position is when new members share how God brought them into missions. Each time we run an Equip, a two-week orientation program, each single or couple is given the opportunity to share how God moved their hearts to serve as missionaries with Wycliffe. As Nate listens to each encounter, he is reminded of how God meets us where we are at and molds us and transforms us to be the people he desires us to be.

Teaching Writing

While visiting family, in North Carolina, we hiked to the top of Chimney Rock.

One of the hardest things about moving Stateside for Valerie was to take a step out of the classroom to be a stay-at-home mom. God has given Val a deep passion for teaching and it’s something that brings joy to her heart. We know that God cares about the big things of this world down to the things that seem so insignificant in the bigger picture. This spring Val has had the opportunity to teach a fellow missionary’s homeschooled son, in writing. He is a fourth grader (Val’s favorite grade to teach) and they get together twice a week to work. This gift has not only blessed his family, but has spoken volumes to Val’s teaching heart.

For Faith Academy to be fully staffed for next school year. We will be at 100% partnership by September. For spiritual protection as we prepare and strengthen missionaries.

Ali celebrated her 3rd birthday, in February, with siblings and friends; she wanted a fancy tea party.

Partnership Needs Last summer was a whirlwind as we packed up our lives in the Philippines, moved Stateside, and relied on the Lord to provide us with partners, so we could move to Florida. He did it in a BIG way! Since that time, we’ve had an increase to our insurance. We’ve also had partners who have had to withdraw or reduce their financial partnership. Currently, we are almost $500 under our expected monthly budget; by September we will be almost $800 under. Please pray, with us, that we will be back to 100% partnership by September. Drew turned 6 in April. He celebrated with some friends at the pool.
