Job Announcement Business and Talent Manager Position Summary: BridgeEDU is a dynamic start-up organization doing powerful work supporting students of promise through the critical first and second years of college. We are looking for a superstar to help us manage and process the business and finance needs for the organization as well as recruit and retain top talent within the company. If you enjoy working in a small, nimble organization with plenty of opportunity to grow, have experience in general accounting, human resources, staff recruiting, and talent management, we’d love to hear from you! This position will start part-time with primarily accounting and light HR responsibilities, but for the right person, we expect this position will likely grow into a larger, critical, full-time staff role as our company grows. Primary Accounting Responsibilities: 

   

Prepare first-pass monthly financial statements for CFO review using GAAP standards. This includes working up and posting entries to general ledger to record financial activity by division, reconciling bank and general ledger accounts, and researching and resolving discrepancies. Process bi-weekly employee and independent contractor payroll needs including processing of year-end 1099’s and W-2s. Manage the approval and processing of vendor invoices. Manage collections and ensure timely payment of services rendered. Other duties as assigned by CFO and the Executive Team.

Secondary Talent Management Responsibilities: 



 

Work with executives to find, recruit, vet, and hire world-class talent. This includes but is not limited to, designing and developing a robust talent pipeline, creating posts that maximize talent interest, designing job descriptions and compensation programs that are market competitive and attractive and finalizing employment contracts. Manage all aspects of employment compensation, including, but not limited to payroll processing of employees and independent consultants, managing employee healthcare and benefits, ensuring compliance on all HR needs and best practices. Design and develop employee handbook guidelines to ensure we offer a program that attracts world-class talent and complies with best practices. Work with executives to develop staff training and professional development plans to ensure ongoing training and learning.

Skills and Qualifications:    

Minimum of 5 years of experience in Accounting; Human Resources/Talent Management experience. Microsoft Office proficient in Excel using formulas, pivot tables, etc. Bachelor’s degree required. Proficiency with standard accounting software required. Experience with Quickbooks preferred. 1
