DEFENDING CHAMPS
STATEMENT START
• Bradley entered the 2011 season as the defending State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Tournament champion. • In the past 13 seasons (since 1998), Bradley has won six Missouri Valley Conference championships -four regular-season and two postseason tournaments. • By earning The Valley’s automatic bid as the postseason league champion in 2010, Bradley earned its fifth trip to the NCAA Tournament since 2000.
• Although early in the season, six of Bradley’s first seven opponents also were unbeaten at the time of their respective games against the Braves and those same seven opponents have combined for a 27-19-4 (.580) record through Tuesday in their non-Bradley games. • Though the win against Butler came in the season opener, the 4-1 victory by the Braves at the Butler Bowl was Butler’s only loss in 24 regular-season games (20-1-3) dating back to Oct. 31, 2009. • Similarly, prior to Bradley’s 2-1 overtime win against #8 South Florida, the Bulls were 21-1-4 in their last 26 regular-season games against non-Big East Conference schools, dating back to a 1-0 loss at Duke Sept. 3, 2006.

LOCAL CONNECTIONS • The rise of the Bradley Soccer program also has coincided with the growth of local talent and the Bradley roster continues to benefit from its local ties. • The 2011 Bradley roster features three players from the Peoria area. Local Braves Cody Gilfillan, Fr., M Morton, Ill. (Peoria Notre Dame HS) Chris Olivera, So., F Dunlap, Ill. (IVC HS) Toni Ramadani, So., F Washington, Ill. (Washington HS)
