10-Team High School Varsity Basketball Charity Tournament Saturday January 20th, 2018 at TZHS The 2nd annual TWO COUNTIES, ONE CAUSE High School Basketball Tournament has expanded in 2018 to a 10-team one day event taking place at Tappan Zee High School in Orangeburg, NY. Spearheaded by Coach George Gaine of Tappan Zee High School, 100% of money raised will go directly to the Children’s Tumor Foundation (CTF) to fund research for a cure for Neurofibromatosis, a genetic disorder that causes tumors to grow on nerves throughout the body. Coach Gaine along with all 10 participating teams, coaches and players are raising awareness while contributing toward research funds to help find a cure. Beginning at 11:00 AM, five consecutive games will be played throughout the day featuring many of the top boys varsity teams in Rockland and Westchester. The day concludes with a 7:00 PM match-up of Yorktown vs. Tappan Zee and the fan favorite Teddy Bear Toss, bring a new bear for children in need. There will also be contests and raffles throughout the day.
