CLASSROOM NEWS
SPECIAL EVENTS
Jesus Time– The second half of this month we are learning about our Bible friend, David. We learn about how he was chosen to be a king, how he fought Goliath, and how he helped Mephibosheth.
PTL Trunk or Treat and Dance– Mark your calendars for Friday, October 21. We will have trunk or treat in the parking lot followed by dinner and a costume dance in the gym and CLC. Come and enjoy the activities.
Science– We will be learning about nocturnal animals, such as owls and bats
Race for Education– Friday, October 21 from 9:15-10:15 (PK3-1st grade).
Our nursery rhyme for the month of October is “Itsy Bitsy Spider”.
Parent Teacher Conferences– We will be having parent teacher conferences on Wednesday and Thursday, October 26-27. You should be receiving your scheduled conference time soon. I am looking forward to discussing your child’s progress with you then.
Social Studies– We will be talking about the changes in God’s beautiful world as we enter the season of autumn. We will be doing a number of math, science and writing activities using Pumpkins.
No School– Oct. 27-28 for Parent Teacher Conferences.
Singing in Church I am looking forward to seeing all of you at Elm Grove Lutheran Church on Sunday, October 30, for the 10:45 a.m. service. Students should meet in the choir room at 10:25 to practice. We sit together during the service and you can pick up your child in the choir room after the service ends.
Picture Retake Day If you would like to have your child’s school picture retaken, please bring your picture packet back to school on Thursday, October 20, for a retake.
