MILITARY TIES A recent Harvard study found a close correlation between contaminated drinking water wells containing perfluorinated compounds used in firefighting foam and the location of Air Force bases and Navy aviation installations. The red areas in the map below show the location of some contaminated wells and the proximity to military bases.
