Barchy Bear’s Fundraising! We have our own registered charity, Barchester’s Charitable Foundation. The Foundation is dedicated to making a difference to older and disabled people in the communities where our homes operate. We give grants to help reduce isolation and loneliness, promote group activities and generally improve people’s independence, mobility and quality of life. We aim to give grants that will help people lead more fulfilled lives and reach their full potential. Our grants are one-off gifts and range from £100 up to £5,000.
Who we help • Older people 65+ • 18+ with a physical disability • 18+ with a mental disability We help individuals, small community groups and small local charities.
How to apply for grants If you know somebody in need of help, please ask them to visit: www.bhcfoundation.org.uk
How to donate We are always in need of funding in order to respond positively to the increasing number of applications, and therefore welcome all donations, large or small. www.bhcfoundation.org.uk/donate
This year our focus is about connecting or re-connecting people with others in their local community. Applications that combat loneliness and enable people to be active and engaged, will receive our highest priority. Whether you’re baking, buying, raffling or something completely different, we hope you enjoy Barchy Bear’s fundraising events!
