Sow thinly in seed trays of a good quality, moist seed compost covering only lightly as light assists germination. Place in a coldframe. Alternatively sow direct into a well prepared seedbed (Germination 15-20 days). Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle into a sheltered position outdoors and grow on before planting out approx. 23-30cm (9-12") apart in the autumn. Plants will flower the following year.
