Sow the seed thinly direct into finely raked, moist, warm, weed free soil 6mm (¼") deep where the plants are to flower, during March to May for flowering the same year. Germination usually takes 14-28 days. Alternatively sow as above during September to produce vigorous plants for the following summer. Thin the seedlings in stages to achieve a final spacing of 25cm (10").
