What is Cycle Speedway? It is bicycle racing around a 75 metre oval shaped speedway track. It is an International sport operating in: England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, Poland, USA and Australia. The World Championships are held in Adelaide every 4 years. This is a non-violent contact sport where competitors race over 2-4 laps depending on the Division that they are allocated to. Riders are graded according to ability and age. Age groups range from 3 years of age up to 50 years and there are separate Divisions for Girls/Women. Divisions include: Tiny Tots (3 - 5 years) Under 7’s, Under 9’s, Under 11’s, Under 13’s, Under 15, Under 18 and Open. Girls Divisions: Under 13 Girls, 13 years and over Women. • • • • •

How Much? On presentation of this flyer we will give you the first 5 consecutive race meetings FREE to see if you like the sport. The Club has a number of ‘Club Bikes’ that you can loan for your trial period. After the free race meeting period, racing is $5-00 per rider (per week) with a maximum of $10-00 for a family of riders (per week). Annual membership is $10-00 per rider, with a maximum of $20-00 for a family of riders (excluding parents). Parent membership is $5-00 each.
