Sow in a propagator on a windowsill or in pots or trays in a greenhouse at approx. 15-20°C (60-68°F) lightly onto a good quality, finely sieved, moist compost. Do not exclude light or allow to dry out (germination can be erratic – from 46 weeks). Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle, spacing them out in trays and grow on without check. Acclimatise gradually before planting out 25cm (10") apart in a sunny position after the danger of frost has passed.
