Movies in the Park The free, Friday night summer tradition has returned. There will be four movies (all rated PG) at the Evelyn B. Newman Amphitheater in Centennial Park. They begin at dusk, between 7:30 and 8 p.m.

With the award recognizing outstanding community improvement came a $210,000 prize. Since learning of the award in March, members of KFB have been developing specific ideas of how to spend the landscape funding from the Texas Department of Transportation.

El Dorado Overpass to Close TxDOT will close the El Dorado Blvd. overpass at I-45/Gulf Freeway on Friday, July 10 at 9 p.m. until late November 2015 for reconstruction. The existing overpass will be demolished and a new, atgrade intersection will be constructed. This is part of the $93 million construction project on I-45 from FM 2351 to Medical Center Boulevard, scheduled for completion the second quarter of 2017.

2014 Comptroller Leadership Circle Member

Animal Control Mid-Year Report The first six months of 2015 have been noteworthy for the City of Friendswood Animal Control operations. From January 1 to June 30, 2015, Animal Control has impounded 210 dogs and 121 cats.

radKIDS® Training radKIDS® is a violence prevention program designed for kids aged 5-12. It teaches them how to defensively resist aggression. Classes are offered based on the age of the child. For kids age 5-7, classes are July 27 though 30. For kids age 8 through 12, classes are August 3 through 6. A parent or guardian is required to attend the training with their child.
