Procrastination – time • Time – Linear time is only one version of time there’s also lateral time that’s maleable • Lateness caused by procrastination can be rebelling against linear time • Is time your friend or enemy? Do you see it as something that gives or something that is unforgiving?

Procrastination – fear, motivation & self-worth • Fear – of being knocked back, failing, humiliation - tied in to feelings of unworthiness - hesitation before jumping into activity. Fear and will levels are governed by kidney energy. • Motivation – when fear is lowered, will is raised and motivation is strong, it’s less likely you will procrastinate. Manipulating energy in the front of the thighs is key. • Self worth – knowing yourself as an expression of the Tao – governed by the heart energy

Procrastination - visualisations • Visualise yourself as a friend of linear time – align yourself with the flow of linear time being your friend - see yourself as capable of expanding time to afford you greater resource

• If you procrastinate, acknowledge it as being your wont (it creates tension that makes you feel alive) – visualise yourself not procrastinating on occasions when you normally would – just do it, like a warrior – then do the next thing (with no fear – because whatever comes up you can handle it – you trust yourself)

Procrastination - energies • Decrease fear, increase willpower – place fists on lower back at waist height either side of spine and rub up and down briskly to generate heat, then place palms there to increase heat into the kidneys. • Increase motivation – sit with feet on floor, legs at right angles, make fists and using the little finger edge, drum roll alternately on your thighs, top to bottom, moving off the mid line to the outside towards the knees and to the inside towards the hips.

Procrastination - energies • Engender a stronger sense of self worth and a healthy ego – place your left thumb into your right armpit and press upwards, make a fist with your right arm and circle backwards, then forwards. Turn your right palm to your face with arm outstretched and the side of your elbow joint in line with your little finger, feel the little bone jutting out, slide left thumb from bone prominence along forearm towards little finger, one centimetre – paralysing feeling through elbow joint to upper arm and down to little finger. Then press on tendon leading into wrist bracelet at base of palm on little finger side. Repeat on other side.

Context • Assume your underlying stratagem is correct and improve it • Be in the back of yourself so you are not identified as being stuck in the thing you need liberating from • With a clearly held intention use the energy techniques
