HOW TO GROW Prepare separate trays or pots for each variety, in the greenhouse or on the windowsill, using a good quality, moist compost. Level off and firm the compost prior to sowing thinly and evenly on the surface. Do not cover the seeds of Impatiens, Lobelia and Petunia as light assists germination. Cover the seeds of Anagallis and Tagetes with their own depth of finely sieved compost. Stand containers in water until the surface is moist and place in a polythene bag to conserve moisture. Maintain approx. 15-20°C (60-68°F) until germination and 15°C thereafter. When the leaves are large enough to handle, transplant seedlings into further trays spacing them 5cm (2") apart and grow on in good light. Acclimatise the plants carefully prior to planting in baskets. The Petunias and Tagetes will make the best plants for the centre and Lobelia for around the edges. Recommended spacing 15cm (6").
Impatiens F2 Superior Mix (Busy Lizzie) – low growing plants in a wide range of colours. Height 23cm (9"). Lobelia Sapphire – deep blue flowers with white eye on trailing plants Jun-Sep. Anagallis Blue Pimpernel – unique, small, gentian blue flowers on attractive dark green foliage. Flowers Jun-Sep.
