How to grow: Soak the seeds in water, when they sink they are ready for sowing. Sow into a tray of moist, firm, quality compost, pressing gently into the surface. Place in a polythene bag, in a warm, dark place at around 13-16°C (55-61°F) until germination occurs. At the first sign of germination (15-30 days), remove the bag and maintain a temperature of 15°C (60°F). Grow on in good light keeping the compost moist. Native to Hibiscus trionum ‘Simply Love’ Africa Traditionally, the large exquisite creamy yellow blooms with their chocolate-maroon centres bloomed for an hour in the mornings. This variety, thanks to modern breeding, flowers longer. Attractive ‘bladder-like’ seed capsules follow the flowers. Originating in Africa this plant has been said to ‘work magic on gardener’s hearts’, as once grown always desired!
