SOWING/GROWING Sow the seed thinly direct into finely raked, moist, warm soil where the plants are to flower, raking the seed into the top 3mm (1⁄8") of soil. Germination usually takes 14-21 days. Thin resulting seedlings in stages to a final spacing of 10cm (4") apart, using the spare plants to fill in any spaces. Alternatively, sow in mid September for strong plants that will flower the following summer.
