Dear Citizen, This document serves as a notification to you, as a resident of Kentucky and a registered voter in the aforementioned Commonwealth, of fraudulent information that is being deliberately spread to voters in your area. The information that has been red-flagged as 100% false is being purposely spread by the campaign of the federal candidate named below: Alison Lundergan Grimes. With the campaign for United States Senate nearly complete, candidate Alison Lundergan Grimes has chosen to launch an advertising campaign that independent sources prove is filled with blatant lies intended solely to deceive Kentucky voters. In the ad, Mrs. Grimes looks directly into the camera and says things that have already been proven to be false: • Mrs. Grimes claimed that U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell “didn’t fight” for a local coal plant. The Washington Post declares that “there’s really no justification for this statement.” It is well-known that Senator McConnell is a leader in Washington working to protect our coal jobs. • Mrs. Grimes stoops even lower with her next lie (the Washington Post says Alison Lundergan Grimes “really goes into the ditch”). She states that Mitch McConnell’s wife has accepted money from anti-coal activists like Michael Bloomberg. That is 100% untrue. • Even worse, it is Alison Lundergan Grimes herself who has happily accepted campaign donations from Hollywood celebrities and others who are anti-coal and anti-gun. • While Mrs. Grimes was looking into the camera and lying to you, it was revealed that while she worked for her father’s company, the other employees were being paid less than the minimum wage. You have been a voter for some time, so you are used to seeing lots of TV ads trying to mislead you. But when the liberal Washington Post says that Alison Lundergan Grimes’ new ad is “beyond the pale,” you know she has gone too far in her desperate bid to earn your vote. In fact, the Washington Post declares that this is “the worst ad of a nasty campaign year. Grimes should be ashamed of herself.” This information is provided as a public service.
