2014 SLUGAPALOOZA!! University Road Race 2/22/14 COURSE: Same course as years past. A 400 ft climb up Hagar followed by a pedaling descent down Coolidge. Each lap is 2.6 miles. Pavement is new or good. Lane will be closed to traffic. Centerline rule in effect. REG: Registration opens at 6:45am and closes 15 minutes prior to each event. Collegiate Fee is $20, USAC Fee is $30 Make Checks payable to: UC Regents - Slug Cycling. DIRECTIONS: From the south: Take Highway 1 north towards Santa Cruz / Half Moon Bay • Bear right to avoid the Downtown / Ocean St. exit! •Turn right onto Mission St. • Turn right onto Bay Street, then continue up Bay Street to the UCSC main entrance • Turn left onto Hagar Dr. • Park in the East Remote parking lot. From the north: Take Highway 17 south to Highway 1 north, then follow above directions. ***There will be pint glasses for the collegiate winners***

Salinas Valley Criterium 2/23/14 Course: Flat, five-corners (all left), and counter-clockwise, located at Moffett Street, La Guardia Street, and Vandenburg St, near the Salinas Airport. Laps are 0.6 miles (1.0 KM). This is the same course as used in 2011 and 2013. Pavement was resurfaced during September 2011. Start/finish is located on Moffett Street. Registration is located at the corner of Moffett Street and La Guardia Street. Registration opens at 7:00 am, and closes 15 minutes before each event. Park on the street! Prizes: Tremendous amount of pride and sweet custom pint glasses. Primes will be announced on the start line. Directions: From San Jose and the San Francisco Bay Area, take US 101 south to Salinas (about 30 miles south of Gilroy, 55 miles south of San Jose); take the Airport Blvd exit (Exit 326A), cross the freeway going eastbound, turn right on Moffett Street to Registration. From the Central Valley, take CA 152 through Hollister to US 101, then south to Airport Blvd (Exit 326A). From San Luis Obispo and other points to the south, take US 101 northbound to Airport Blvd exit, go east on Airport Blvd and right on Moffett St. Par k on the street!!!
