PRESS RELEASE 16 October 2013
BROADSTONE comments on Neil Woodford’s decision to leave Invesco Perpetual Commenting on Neil Woodford’s decision to leave Invesco Perpetual, Paula Eddery head of investment management at Broadstone said: “This is important news for Invesco Perpetual and one of the most widely held funds by investors. Investors need to review this holding. Whilst Woodford's record over longer term is excellent investors should now consider alternatives for UK equity income. “We particularly like Artemis Income run by Adrian Frost and Adrian Gosden, which we have held for many years. Another good fund in this sector is the Threadneedle UK Equity Income fund run by Leigh Harrison. At Broadstone, we also look for income in more unconventional parts of the market, such as Asia Pacific using the Newton Asian Income fund, but investors need to be aware of currency risk inherent in such holdings.” -EndsFor press information contact: Oliver Parry, Redleaf Polhill 020 7832 4762 /
