SOWING AND GROWING
Sow thinly March-July into finely raked, warm, moist soil at a depth of 13mm (½") in rows 30cm (12") apart. (Germination can take up to 21 days.) Thin to 15cm (6") between plants. Can also be sown February onwards in a propagator on a windowsill at approx. 10-15°C (50-60°F). Transplant seedlings into 50mm (2") pots, grow on and finally plant out. Grows best in well cultivated soil in a shady spot. Sowing ➞ Cropping – 13-14 weeks.
