Sow thinly into finely raked, warm, weed-free, moist soil at a depth of 13mm (½") in rows about 15cm (6") apart. Thin seedlings to 25mm (1") between plants. Water well during periods of dry weather. May also be grown in grow bags or containers on the patio, spreading the seeds evenly. Tops may be used steamed as ‘greens’. Make small successional sowings and use when young. Cloche later sowings to extend season.
