Annual FALL WATER TESTS September 6 (WD/WRD) September 7 (WD/WRD/WRDX), 2014

FIRST CLASS MAIL

Del Valle Regional Park Livermore, California PREMIUM LIST

NEWFOUNDLAND CLUB OF NORTHERN CALIFORNIA FALL WATER TESTS September 7 (WD/WRD) & 8 (WD/WRD/WRDX), 2014 Del Valle Regional Park, Livermore, California NCA APPROVED Closing date for entries: 6:00 PM, Saturday, August 23, 2014 (no entries postmarked before Monday, July 21 will be accepted) JUDGES Saturday: Sunday

Jo Nussle from Washington and Martin Vroegryk from Northern California Rick Humphreys from Northern California and Jo Nussle

Entry limits: Saturday’s WD/WRD test will have a maximum of 25 and a minimum of 4 in both divisions combined. Sunday’s WRDX test will be limited to 5 (minimum 1) entries. The WD/WRD test will be limited to a total of 20 unless the WRDX does not fill, in which case additional WD/WRD entries will be accepted up to a total of 25 (minimum 4) for all three divisions. Entries over the limit will be placed on a list of alternates. Post entries and move-ups: Dogs earning titles in junior division at each test MAY post-enter senior division on the same day and may move up to senior division on Sunday if they pass junior on Saturday. Dogs earning WRD titles on Saturday may move up to WRDX on Sunday provided this does not exceed the limit of 5 WRDX entries. However, dogs earning WRD titles on Sunday may NOT post enter the WRDX test. Re-qualifiers: Re-qualifiers will be accepted as space allows and will be judged last in their class. Dogs may be entered in more than one division on the same day but only if they have already qualified at previous tests in all of the divisions entered. Re-qualifiers are NOT allowed to post enter additional divisions. Check the appropriate boxes on the entry form for the class(es) entered. If the entry for the test exceeds its limit and a lottery is necessary the dog may not get into each division entered. There will be no substitutions for dogs to change divisions if their entry is chosen for one division but not the other in a lottery. Judges must excuse any dog not in condition to finish the division entered and, if so, the dog will not be able to continue in any other division entered that day. Entry fees will not be refunded for dogs that are excused. Entrants are discouraged from pushing their dogs beyond their limits.

Entry fees each day $45.00, $30 for post-entries. For dogs with WRDs or WRDXs re-qualifying in multiple divisions on the same day, the entry fee is $45 plus $30 for each additional division entered for the same day. All fees are payable to the NEWFOUNDLAND CLUB OF NORTHERN CALIFORNIA TEST SITE Del Valle Reservoir is a large fresh-water lake with a sloping shoreline. Swimming depth is approximately 12 feet from shore. The bottom is gravel and/or silt depending on the water level. There is ample shade in the picnic area. POSSIBLE SITE CHANGE: Due to the exceptional drought conditions it is possible that the site for the test may have to be changed (Shadow Cliffs in Livermore and Lake Berryessa in Winters are being considered). Presently there is ample water in Del Valle, but this may change before the test, in which case all concerned will be notified and entry fees will be refunded for those not wishing to test at the different site.
