2016 Jeff Voris Butler Football Camp Camp Overview and Objectives The Jeff Voris Butler High School Football Camp is administered and run by JV Football Camps, LLC. THIS CAMP IS INDEPENDENTLY OWNED AND OPERATED. IT IS IN NO WAY AFFILITATED WITH BUTLER UNIVERSITY. This camp is open to any and all entrants and is limited only be age, gender and number. The Butler University Football staff will coach the camp with a teaching emphasis on the fundamentals and techniques of the game. Small group instruction and drills will give each camper a fundamental understanding of both their offensive and defensive position. General offensive and defensive concepts will be covered. This is not a specialty camp. There will be no kicking, punting or special teams drill work. The objective of the camp is to use the “Butler Way” to help each camper’s preparation for the summer and upcoming season.
One-Day HS Camp Grades 9–12
June 5, 2016 or June 12, 2016 1 PM – 4:30 PM Registration Initial registration will be complete when your registration form and release agreement are signed and returned with the camp fee check made out to JV Football Camps, LLC. Final registration will take place on the day of the camp from 12 PM to 1 PM in the East Concourse of Hinkle Fieldhouse inside Gate #4. Registration forms may be photocopied or additional camp brochures can be obtained online at www. butlersports.com through the football page or by emailing [email protected].
Arrival and Departure Camp will begin at 1 PM after registration is complete. Camp will officially end at 4:30 PM. Campers and their parents can park in the main Hinkle Fieldhouse parking lot located at 510 W. 49th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46208.
What to Bring

• Gym shoes and football cleats • Athletic shorts and T-Shirt • Small towel and water bottle • Helmet and mouth guard
The fee is $40 for the camp and required with the return of the registration form and liability release. All checks must be made payable to JV Football Camps, LLC. Refunds are available for any cancelation up to forty-eight hours from the start of camp minus a $20 processing fee. In the event of inclement weather, we will endeavor to hold activities indoors as available facilities permit. However, no refunds or transfers will be granted if inclement weather requires us to cancel a camp day. • Walk-Ups: Day of camp registration is welcome, but a $50 day of camp fee must be paid in cash and all forms must be signed by a parent or legal guardian before the camper may participate. Space in camp is limited, so pre-registration is recommended.
Insurance and Medical Care A certified athletic trainer will be present during all physical activities, but all campers are responsible for their own health insurance. Each camper must be covered by his parent’s insurance and the release agreement signed before participating in any camp activities. Also, any reasons or circumstances that would not allow the camper to fully participate should be noted on the registration form.
RELEASE, WAIVER OF LIABILITY AND INDEMNIFICATION AGREEMENT In consideration for being permitted to participate in JV Football Camps, LLC’s 2016 Jeff Voris Butler High School Football Camp (“Camp”), the parent or legal guardian of the minor participant named below (“Participant”) hereby: (1) recognizes that there are certain dangers inherent in Participant’s participation in the Camp; (2) RELEASES, WAIVES, DISCHARGES, and COVENANTS NOT TO SUE JV Football Camps, LLC, Butler University, and their officers, employees, and authorized representatives (all for purposes herein referred to as “Releasees”) from all liability to the Participant, the undersigned, his/her personal representatives, assigns, heirs, and next of kin from any and all loss or damage, and any claim or demands there from, on account of injury to the person or property or resulting in death of the Participant immediately prior to, during, or immediately following Participant’s participation in the Camp; and (3) HOLDS HARMLESS AND INDEMNIFIES the Releases from and against all claims, actions, damages and expenses, including but not limited to reasonable attorney’s fees, for any alleged injury and/or death to any person or damage to any property arising, or alleged to have arisen, out of any neglect, reckless or intentional act of the Participant or failure to act on the part of the Participant.
