2 new 44’ sailing Catamarans added to Newport, RI fleet January 2015 Newport, Rhode Island – Brian P. Blank, founder and manager of Bareboat Sailing Charters-Newport, established in 1985 is pleased to announce that his charter fleet has expanded with (2) new sailing catamarans that have more space and comfort than mono-hulls boats plus performance potential that equals or exceeds them. The Helia 44’ catamarans are available in a 3 or 4 cabin version. Manufactured by Fountaine-Pajot, features include a large settee, a complete galley, making it suitable for seven to nine passengers. Amenities on the Helia cats include twin 40-hp Volvo diesel engines, wheel steering, autopilot, shore power system, many cabin fans, refrigerator, stove and oven, microwave, bimini top, cockpit shower, GPS color navigation, 10’ dinghy with outboard motor. The (3)+ cabin Helia cat charters out bareboat at $6,000 per week and the (4)+ cabin Helia cat charters out bareboat at $6,500 per week for sailing and cruising New England, Cape Cod, Long Island Sound & New York. Due to the shorter charter season which runs from mid-May to mid-Oct., all charters begin on a Friday at 5 pm and end on a Friday by 12:00 noon. We have NO taxes on charters out of Newport !!!
