2. Sha Na Na Na Nouns By John Jacobson and Roger Emerson

Noun, noun, noun, a person, place or thing. Sha na na na na noun, that’s the song we sing.

Noun, noun, noun, a person, place or thing. Sha na na na na noun, that’s the song we sing.

Proper nouns are special nouns for events, people and places; holidays like New Year’s Day or Kentucky Derby races; Germany, New York City, Matt or Tom or Jane. A proper noun is right for you if something you must name!

Proper, plural, pronouns too, nouns can be so good to you. You ought to know which noun to choose and always know which type to use. Noun, noun, noun, na na na na noun!

Noun, noun, noun, a person, place or thing. Sha na na na na noun, that’s the song we sing. Plural nouns are nouns that refer to more than one. Go ahead, just add an “s” and your work is almost done! For words that end in “ch” or “x” and sometimes “s,” you might need an “es” to find plural success!

A pronoun is a word that takes the place of another noun! I, you, he, she, it, we, they will never let you down. There are three kinds of pronouns that you need to get along. We’ll try to cover them someday in another grammar song! Noun, noun, noun, a person, place or thing. Sha na na na na noun, Sha na na na, sha na na na, sha na na na noun!

1 branch; 2 branches; let’s try two more. Box, boxes; glass, glasses; let out a roar!
