2 tsp detergent

BREAD CLAY 6 slices white bread 6 tbsp white glue 1/2 tsp detergent or 2 tsp glycerin food coloring Remove crusts from bread and knead with glue. Add either detergent or glycerin. Knead until no longer sticky.. Separate into portions and add food coloring if desired. Shape and brush with equal parts of glue and water for a glossy coat. Allow to dry overnight to harden. Paint with acrylic paint. Seal with clear nail polish. MODELING CLAY 2 c salt 2/3 c water 1 c comstarch 1/2 c cold water Stir salt and water over heat for about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in comstarch and cold water. Mix until smooth, return to heat and cook until thick. Cool before using. Clay can be air dried and then painted. Store unused clay in airtight container in fridge. SAND CLAY 1 c clean sand (available at lumberyards) 1/2c comstarch 11/2 tsp powdered alum 1/2c water Stir mixture with hands or a wooden spoon. Put mixture on stove with low heat, stirring constantly with the spoon. As the mixture becomes warm it will begin to liquefy. Continue to stir for two to three minutes more, until the clay thickens. Remove from heat and let cool. It will take several days for the clay to harden completely.

Remove crayon marks irom vinyl tile or linoleum with silver polish. To remove irom woodwork, rub lightly with a dry soap-filled steel wool pad.
