How glorious has the rain been this week? It looks as though the power of prayer for rain may have finally paid off. It definitely made for an interes&ng pick up yesterday a(ernoon! Our successful swimmers from last A big thank you to parents and week’s carnival in Townsville friends who came to our Parent Informa&on Evening on Tuesday night. It was lovely to see so many of you here. This week we have had several visitors from across our diocese. Our Literacy and Numeracy Coach Petreah Carroll has been here working with our staff and students, Glenn Allen, our ICT technician has been here a2ending to The downpour at yesterday’s pick up our IT needs and Kim Smith, our Diocesan Informa&on and Resource Adviser was visi&ng yesterday to train Shannon and Melissa (St Patrick’s Winton) in new library so(ware. We are very fortunate to con&nue to receive the amount of support we do from TCEO. Today our Year 5/6/7 students have TCEO’s Kim Smith trains Shannon been par&cipa&ng in a Leadership and Melissa in new library so$ware Day. They have had several guest speakers including Robbie Ka2er, our Adopt-a-Cop Badge and myself and have also par&cipated in a range of ac&vi&es and exercises to assist them in their leadership roles this year. A big thank you to Alex Bluck for organizing a great day for our students. I will be absent on Monday and Year 2/3/4 Parent Informa,on Evening Tuesday next week as I a2end an e-Learning mee&ng in Sydney. I will be flying back in on Wednesday morning for the start of the school day. Have a great weekend and may we be blessed with a li2le more rain!

This week in Carbon Kids we con&nued on our own projects. Prep/1 fed and cleaned their worm farms out, 2/3/4 planted seedlings in the greenhouse and the 5/6/7 con&nued to spread more woodchip in the bush tucker garden.
