Brittany Straza, who had every round count toward team scoring during the 19992000 season, was a stable force for Head Coach Jill BrilesHinton en route to the Lady Gators 18th place finish at the 2000 NCAA Champions hips.
■ Finished the season ranked No. 25 by MasterCard and No. 31 by the Golfweek/Sagarin Ratings. ■ Reached the NCAA Championships and NCAA East Regional Championships for the first time since 1998. ■ Finished in a tie for fifth place at the Southeastern Conference Championships, a six spot jump from last season, the largest jump in school history. The Lady Gators were in second place after the tournaments second round. ■ Took first place in the UCF Invitational and the SunTrust Lady Gator Invitational, the first two tournaments of the millennium. The two titles were the most in one season since 1995-96. ■ Down six strokes going into the final day of the Lady Gator Invitational, Florida shot its best round of the season (1-over-par 289) to come back and win the tournament by 15 strokes.

■ Placed in the top five in the first five tournaments of the spring. ■ Used the youngest lineup in the history of the program (four freshmen and one senior) on a regular basis, including all three tournaments during the postseason. She shot a 224 for the three round tournament. ■ Straza led the individual race at the SEC Championships after two days and finished in a tie for second place with a three-round score of 226. ■ Jeanne Cho won her first individual title at the Central Florida Invitational in Orlando to start off the spring season. She shot a two-round total of 147. ■ Paula Marti shot the two lowest scores of the season for the Lady Gators (68 and 69). The 68 was shot in the third round of the NCAA Championships. It tied the low score of the day at the tournament and the sixth lowest score in Lady Gator history. Marti tied for 13th place at the NCAA Championships. ■ Lauren Schniderman was named to the National Golf Coaches’ Association Academic All-America team. She and Dana von Louda were both named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll, von Louda’s third straight appearance on the list.
