Elon Softball All Skills Winter Clinic Take your game to the next level at the 2011 Elon University Softball All Skills Winter Clinic. Open to all players, ages 13–18. The Elon Softball Coaching Staff wants to help you enhance your softball skills, whether it be defense, pitching, catching, hitting, or any combination of the four, we can make you better.

• Work with Division I Coaches and Players • Receive personalized instruction • Upperclassmen can showcase their talents Defense • Position-specific instruction • Individual fielding skills • Throwing fundamentals • Learn game situations • Build on defensive communication Pitching • Fundamentals of fastball & breaking pitches • Learn different change ups and choose the right one for you • Control the strike zone • Learn drills to develop arm speed, strength, and good form Catching • Discover how to become a leader behind the plate • Improve defensive skills like blocking & reacting to balls off the bat • Become the best at throwing to bases on steals and pick-offs • Enhance knowledge of the strike zone Hitting • Learn proper swing mechanics • Build on mental aspect of hitting • Practice hitting through drills using t-work, soft toss, front toss, & live pitching • Improve bunting & slapping Afternoon Scrimmages

What to Wear Wear proper clothing for the weather— sweatpants, sweatshirt, and any additional warm clothing. Be prepared for cool temperatures. Indoor shoes and cleats may be necessary in the event of rain. Facility The softball field is located on East College Ave., across from the East Gym on the Elon campus. Directions Go towards Elon on University Drive for 1.4 miles. Turn Right on Hwy 70/S. Church St. Turn left onto Williamson (stop light intersection) Follow road into campus 1.7 miles. Take a right at stop light which is Haggard Ave. Go through campus and take a right on Antioch Ave. Take a left on East College. Park in the East Gym parking lot across from the softball field. Inclement Weather If there is inclement weather, the Camp will be moved indoors. All campers should dress appropriately for outdoor camp.
